“I Don’t Need Fluff. I Need Function.”

PRIVATE VENTING JOURNAL ENTRY – The Real Reason I Changed How I Work

I swear, if one more coach tells me I “just need clarity” on my mission, vision, and values… I might scream.

I have a mission. I have a vision. I’m living it.
What I don’t have is time.

Time to deal with a team that keeps missing deadlines.
Time to re-explain things that should’ve been handled.
Time to look at 20 tabs and still not know what’s actually getting done.

I don’t need another “accountability buddy.”
I need someone to tell me what’s falling through the cracks and fix it.
Not a motivational quote. Not a post-it that says “just breathe.”

I’m not lazy—I’m doing everything, and I’m exhausted.
My bottlenecks aren’t mindset. They’re in my backend.
And if one more person says “CEO vibes,” while I’m stuck duct-taping another broken SOP… I might just turn my phone off and ghost everyone.

This Is The Moment I Changed Everything

A client said these exact words to me once.

And she didn’t say it with frustration. She said it with defeat.

She was over the fluff. Over the “planning.” Over the cute templates.
What she really wanted was to stop the bleeding in her business. She didn’t want another VA. She didn’t want to “get organized.”

She wanted:

  • Money not leaking out of her business without her knowing why
  • To stop repeating herself to her team
  • And to know that what she was paying for was actually growing her business

And she wanted it done without her having to manage it all.

So I Made A Big Shift in How I Show Up

I’m an OBM—so yes, I set up systems, plan operations, delegate tasks, and manage chaos.

But I stopped leading with how I do the work.

Because my clients? They don’t want more checklists and fancy software.

They want to stop feeling like the business is held together with duct tape.
They want results they can see.
They want their team to stop asking questions they’ve answered twice already.
They want more money coming in—not just more tasks getting done.

So I shifted how I talk about my work.
I stopped selling structure and started delivering outcomes.

Now, here’s what I say:

“I help you tighten up what’s working, fix what’s not, and make sure every task you’re paying for is actually profitable.”

The backend of your business shouldn’t be invisible—it should be working hard for you.

If you’re at the point where you don’t need another “planning session”—you need someone to get in there and make things move, let’s talk.

Because the longer you keep saying “I’ll figure it out later,” the more expensive it becomes.
